SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition)
A SCADA system is installed to automatically manage and remotely monitor the pumps, flow rates, tank depths and water recycling components of the K.E.W.T. system. This greatly reduces the 'hands on' operation and maintenance required by the client or their agents. It also allows for real time identification of any faults and their prompt repair.

The SCADA system and its associated programming is responsible for the day to day operation of the K.E.W.T. system. The relevant legislative authority will have specific water quality parameters and time frames as part of a testing regime. These will be specific to the individual site based management plan and associated licence and/or approval for the installation of the K.E.W.T. system. GBG Wastewater Management can manage these analysis requirements for the client.
Operation & Maintenance:
Once the K.E.W.T. system is installed to the satisfaction of the Client and GBG Wastewater Management, it goes through a commissioning process and becomes operational. Maintenance then becomes a priority.
GBG Wastewater Management has developed a 20-year maintenance plan and has written the appropriate instruction manual for the K.E.W.T. system. Maintenance is minimal when compared with most other onsite and decentralized wastewater treatment systems. It typically includes sludge removal from tanks, filter cleaning and regular landscaping and pruning to ensure the plants in the K.E.W.T. channels flourish.
As a general rule, GBG Wastewater Management prefers the Client to sign a Maintenance Agreement, which would hand control of all maintenance to GBG. We have the expertise and the commitment to ensure that the K.E.W.T. system is always well maintained and fully operational.
